Generate a connection

Sign in to your dashboard, select your agent, and choose Connect to Codex → Generate connection code. The demo cannot issue working keys.
2

Configure your MCP client

Use the complete configuration shown in the dashboard. It includes your deployment’s /api/mcp URL and a bearer key. Transfer uses Streamable HTTP with authenticated POST requests.Keep the configuration in your client’s private user settings. Never commit it to a project or paste it into a shared chat.
3

Verify access

Reload your client’s MCP connection and ask it to run get_agent_wallet. Check that the agent name and wallet match the dashboard.
The server exposes three tools: get_agent_wallet, list_agent_transactions, and simulate_purchase. Your client’s tool approval policy still applies.
Generating a replacement key immediately invalidates the previous connection. Keys expire after 90 days.
See MCP tools for the tool contract and troubleshooting if your connection fails.
